Payrate:  

110 K plus Benefits

Functional Requirements: Audio Visual Technician supporting the Navy College training conference rooms and training centers.
  • Maintenance and repair of existing audiovisual systems
  • Modifications to existing systems to meet evolving requirements
  • Advising on audiovisual technology for new requirements
  • Designing integrated systems for new requirements
  • Designing modifications to existing audiovisual and videoconferencing systems to adapt existing systems to new requirements
  • Configuration, programming, and installation of new systems and modifications to existing systems
  • Support integrated systems with multiple manufacturers integrated to act as a single system. 
Required Education: BA/BS degree in graphic design, visual communication, or relevant professional discipline.

Required Experience: 5 years of AV installation, configuration and support.

Duties

  • Support existing installed audiovisual systems at NPS include equipment from one or more of the following manufacturers:
    • Extron Electronics (audiovisual signal interfaces, signal switching, scalers, signal processing, integrated control processors, touch panel interfaces, twisted pair transmitter/receiver systems, and audio amplification systems)
    • AVer (PTZ cameras)
    • Panasonic (video projectors, flat screen displays, PTZ cameras)
    • Vaddio (cameras & twisted pair interfaces)
    • Premier Mounts (projector & display mounts)
    • Chief Manufacturing (projector & display mounts)
    • Elmo (document cameras)
    • Wolfvision (document cameras)
    • Cisco (videoconferencing systems & cameras)
    • Owl Labs (videoconferencing camera/speakerphones)
    • Shure (microphones & electronics)
    • Middle Atlantic Products
    • Miscellaneous equipment from various manufacturers including computer monitors, ethernet switches, power distribution, cables, adapters and other ancillary items.

Depending upon assignment, candidates may be required to pass a criminal background check, have a valid driver license, and/or additional training, licenses, or certificates.
